Blueberry Basil Mojito Mocktail (With Homemade Blueberry Compote)

A bright, herbaceous summer mocktail with a tea twist

This blueberry basil mojito is refreshing, juicy, and packed with fresh herbal flavor.

The combination of blueberries, basil, mint, and lime creates something that tastes vibrant and layered without being overly sweet, while Secret Garden Mint adds cooling peppermint, spearmint, lavender, and lemon notes that make the whole drink feel extra refreshing.

It’s basically garden party season in a glass.

Why this works

Secret Garden Mint already brings:

  • Peppermint
  • Spearmint
  • Lavender
  • Lemon peel

So pairing it with basil and blueberry creates an incredibly fresh, botanical flavor profile that feels layered and sophisticated.

The blueberry compote gives the drink richness and real fruit flavor instead of relying on sugary syrups.

Tips for the best mojito mocktail

  • Don’t over-muddle the basil or it can turn bitter
  • Let the blueberry compote cool fully before using
  • Use crushed ice if you want a more classic mojito texture

Make it your own

  • Add cucumber for extra freshness
  • Swap basil for rosemary for a deeper herbal note
  • Add a splash of lemonade for a sweeter version

Perfect for

  • Summer cookouts
  • Garden parties
  • Picnic season
  • People who love mojitos but want an NA version
