Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches, diced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 6 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 cup strong Evening Peach tea, chilled
  • 2 tablespoons peach basil syrup
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Fresh basil and peach slices for garnish

Directions

  1. Add peaches, sugar, and water to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches have softened.
  4. Remove from heat and add basil leaves.
  5. Let steep for 15 minutes.
  6. Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently on the fruit.
  7. Cool completely before using.
  8. Fill a shaker with ice.
  9. Add chilled tea, peach basil syrup, and lemon juice.
  10. Shake until well chilled.
  11. Strain into an ice-filled glass.
  12. Top with sparkling water.
  13. Garnish with fresh basil and peach slices.
  14. Serve immediately.
