Pear & Ginger Cold Remedy Tea

There’s a particular kind of comfort that only a steaming mug of tea can offer—especially when you’re feeling under the weather. Maybe it's a tickle in your throat, a heavy head, or just the kind of chill that wraps itself around your bones. Whatever your version of “not quite right” looks like, this Pear & Ginger Cold Remedy Tea is here to help you warm up, wind down, and gently restore.

At Full Moon Tea Company, we believe that everyday rituals can be healing—especially when they involve ingredients rooted in both tradition and intention. This blend is simple but powerful: ginger for its warming, anti-inflammatory properties; pear for hydration and softness; green tea for gentle antioxidants and steady energy; and lemon and honey, the timeless comfort duo we all reach for when we’re run-down.

This is more than a cold remedy—it’s a tea meditation. A way to pause, to inhale deeply, and to give your body what it needs. You don’t need to be sick to make this. You just need to be ready for a little more nourishment and a lot more comfort.

Benefits:

Ginger = anti-inflammatory & warming

Green tea = antioxidants & gentle energy

Pear = soothing & hydrating

Lemon & honey = classic cold-fighting duo

Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping tsp Pear & Ginger Green Tea

  • 1 cup hot water (175–185°F, not boiling)

  • 2–3 thin slices fresh ginger

  • 1 tsp honey (or more, to taste)

  • 1–2 tsp fresh lemon juice

  • Optional: pinch of cayenne or cinnamon for an extra kick

 Instructions:

1. Steep the Tea: In a large mug or heat-safe jar, add your tea and fresh ginger slices.
Pour over hot (not boiling!) water and steep for 3–5 minutes.

2. Add Good Stuff: Strain out the tea. Stir in honey and lemon juice.
Add a pinch of cayenne for a decongestant boost or a sprinkle of cinnamon for warmth.

3. Sip Slowly: Wrap your hands around the mug. Breathe in the steam. Sip. Repeat.
Optional: crawl under a blanket and watch something comforting.

When your body needs a break or your mind craves something soothing, this tea has you covered—one sip at a time. It's more than a beverage; it’s a reminder to care for yourself in small, meaningful ways. A simple recipe becomes a ritual. A mug becomes a sanctuary.

So whether you're curled under a blanket with tissues nearby or just taking a mindful break from a busy day, let this blend support you. Let the warmth move through you, the flavors ground you, and the steam remind you to breathe.

Keep a jar of this remedy close by, not just for the sniffles—but for any moment when comfort calls.

Be well, and keep sipping.
